UNIGLOBE Geo Travel's very own Luxury/Adventure Travel Specialist, Shirley Smith, returned home this week after a 2 month long trip to India, Dubai, & South Africa. Shirley shares her vacation experience with us:I am back after escorting a group on an incredible journey to an incredible place - INDIA !!!
India is a destination that is difficult to describe, even though I have been 4 times I could certainly go again. We did the Northern part first; Delhi, Jaipur, Agra and Udaipur and then flew to the South to Cochin, on to Kumarakom and the the Temple city of Mudurai before flying to Channei to return home.
One of the highlights is of course the Taj Mahal which I saw once again in a different light to previous occasions, the building is all marble and difference lights give a different experience.
On previous occasions I saw this magnificent structure at sunrise , the next time at sunset and then on a cloudy day - each time the hues on the building were different. This time we had one of the few totally clear days with no clouds, no fog or smog and it was a very awesome sight giving off incredible colors..
In a nut shell INDIA is exotic,exciting, brightly colored with diversity second to none. The incredible temples, colorful people and a rich culture makes it a totally amazing experience.
